Summary of Memorandum of Agreement 2014-2020

On June 17, 2016 the WEA ratified a new contract for the time period of July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2020.  Attached you will find the Summary of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and salary guides for each classification.   The WEA agreed to a 1 Year Contract for (7/1/2014 – 6/30/2016) and a 5 Year Contract for (7/1/2015 – 6/30/2020).   Below you will find the percentages and movement which were agreed too.    Please know the percentage is applied to the base salaries of all WEA Members combined, and then distributed across the salary guides.
July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015 – 1 Year Contract – 2.02%
  • Each member receives a $1,000 increase in their yearly salary
  • No movement on salary guide
July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016 – Year 1 of 5 Year Contract – 2.50%
  • Each member moves one step on the salary guide
  • $500 to top and off guide (OG)
July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017 – Year 2 of 5 Year Contract – 2.60%
  • Each member moves one step on the salary guide
  • $500 to top and off guide (OG)
July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018 – Year 3 of 5 Year Contract – 2.70%
  • Each member moves one step on the salary guide
  • $500 to top and off guide (OG)
July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019 – Year 4 of 5 Year Contract – 2.70%
  • Each member moves one step on the salary guide
  • $500 to top and off guide (OG)
July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020 – Year 5 of 5 Year Contract – 2.70%
  • Each member moves one step on the salary guide
  • $500 to top and off guide (OG)
For members who were approved at the BOE meeting on Monday, September 12th for additional movement due to obtaining college credits, ie – BA +30, MA, MA +30, etc. your new salary will be reflected in your September 30th pay.
In accordance with the WEA Contract in order to advance a step on the guide a 12 month employee must have been employed the final 6 months of the year and 10 month employees must have been employed the final 5 months of the year.
Members who were employed for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school year will receive retro pay.  Retro pay will be $1.000 for the 14-15 school year + your step increase for the 15-16 school year.     At this time we DO NOT know when retro monies will be paid out.  Please do not contact payroll about retro as they do not know payment dates.   Once the retro date is established you will be notified.
